The contributor of the month is the New York Public Library of New York City, NY, which has contributed more than 380,000 pages of content, including the The Sun, The Sun and the New York Herald, The Sun and New York Press, The Weekly Sun, and The Evening World, which contained the project's 5 millionth page.
The New York State Historic Newspapers project has hit another major milestone by surpassing the 5 million page threshold this month. The project now has over 420 titles and representation from every county in the state. The 5 millionth page is page 1 of the the May 10th, 1920 issue of The Evening World, a daily paper published in New York City from 1887-1931.
